Last week the cold proper started and if you have a little one around Milenas age or younger like me you are probably worrying about the cold!! We actually spend 70% of our time worrying and the other 30% complaining about how tired we are lol!! This will be our first winter and every time we go out I'm now worrying if she has enough layers on!!! I have bought a snow suit (from gap) and its down, but surely she doesn't need that yet and I also got the bugaboo foot muff, I got the one that has 2 covers, one for the cold and a thicker one for when it is really cold. Last week I started using it for the first time but i stopped using a blanket i felt like it was enough to have the foot muff and a puffa jacket, it's getting colder but it's still Autumn so i havent wanted to go over board!! The problem with me is I don't really feel the cold, I'm always warm and I have never been someone that wears a lot of layers, so now with Milena I have to be extra careful, so no more dolly shoes with no socks for her!! :(
I still haven't bought her a hat and scarf set but I haven't found one that I loveeee yet and tbh I don't think she suits hats lol (im so mean and seeing as i'm her mother im the only person allowed to say that lol)
So what am I putting on her now?? We are doing cardis with a puffa jacket!! I have been putting leggings on her but I'm not too sure if I should do tights under because I do not want her to overheat!!! My mum always tells me that she is going to be too hot (like me she is always hot lol, that or pre menopause, thank god she isn't reading this lol) and my boyfriends mum and sister tell me that she needs extra layers (Defo their Caribbean side) however the midwife told me that all babies just need an one extra layer compared to us, so if we are wearing a coat and a top, they need a coat, cardi and top!
The other thing is what to get them to sleep in! Last night I put a vest on her, a baby gro and a light gro bag (the one I got from ikea the other day) and I covered her legs with a quilt. This isn't really following the midwifes advice because I had pjs on and a quilt, so she had 2 layers more than me!!! But recently she has woken up with a bit of a stuffed nose (I am like the snot police, I'm constantly wiping her nose and she hates it!!) love a gro bag btw!!!
