So I am now also writing on my company "beejoLDN's blog so for all of you that wanna catch up on that its on www.beejoldn.co.uk, together with all my 6m-3year baby range. So on that blog I wrote about my summer necessities! And I thought that I may as well expand on what I was saying here! So this weekend surprised us with 26 degrees and the week leading up to it had me leaving my house at 9.30am every morning for long days at the park! And tbh I can't lie at first I was not prepared! Don't get me wrong I'm all for this beautiful may weather (may is my birthday month and for the last couple of years we have been surprised with good weather round this time) but it reminded me how summer ready I was not! So I can now say that I am 75% there! Here is a little list of what I deem as must haves for this summer!

1. Sunscreen, I can't lie to you I wasn't ready for this and I used Nivea kids on Milena and Milena has good skin but she got a little rash because of it! And we'll ain't nobody got time *kevin hart voice* to have a burnt little one, it is probs the most important thing you need to pack for the both of you! It 100 percent needs to be in your bag for all those days at the park! I recommend 2 different types! The first is Organic kids sun screen You get only paraben free ingredients making it one of my Fave buys especially when like me you have a little one with kind of sensitive skin! Obviously when "organic" is in the name we automatically know it's going to come with a hefty price tag! And obviously it does (£16.95) The second is Clarins baby sunscreen, I love Clarins products for myself and have spent quite a bit on face care products so obviously my baby deserves the same level, it is a bit expensive but boy is it worth it! (£19.50) it is perfect for those with sensitive skin and especially good for those with fair skin!

2. A necessity to keep your baby/child entertained on those long summer days in the park is to have a simple bucket and spade! Milena will happily sit in the sand box for hours if she has the right toys (or friends/family with her) tbh with you it doesn't matter where it's from, you can snatch one up from pound land and your child will be happy with it! Together with this a swimming costume is mandatory in my eyes, Milena was chilling in her nappy earlier this week and sorry we are too Bouji and extra for that lol, I love baby swimming costumes and don't get me started on how I melt with bikinis (still haven't got her any) I saw such a pretty and summery collection in Monsoon! M&S is also a go to for swim wear! A towel is also needed, even though they can air dry it's always good for drying up before lunch or a snack ect! I recommend the little gym towels which roll into a cylinder, making them space efficient in that already over packed bag! A blanket is mandatory to sit and enjoy your picnic too! The bigger the better!!!

3. Some swaggy sandals! Zara by far do the best little boys and girls sandals and we loveeeee jellies, we have narrowed down our faves below:

4. I know a lot of us have read or been told about the mould found in zippy cups that are anti-spill! And it is summertime we need our juice and water cups in full swing! Opt for a cup that has handles and that unfortunately spills! But who cares it's summertime and we can afford to get water on our tops!

5. Beejo turbans! Firstly picture some little shorts, a loose white shirt with a frilly shoulder, some Jellies and a terracotta turban! It is literally the perfect summer outfit! They are £12 on my website and they really do spark up all outfits and keeps your babies head nice and protected from all those Ray's! They are handmade love and defo and must have!

6. An ice lolly making kit! I love making things from scratch and with stuff like lollies it's soooo easy to make and you can do it with your child! They love the idea of "cooking" and it's something that can be done with minimum mess! It's so satisfying to know exactly what your giving your child and there is nothing easier than using an ice lolly kit! Or you can even just use yogurts! You can find these anywhere! IKEA have the moulds! Make a smoothie and freeze it its that simple! Blend some summer berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries ect) with some full fat yogurt and freeze them! It will make a refreshing and healthy ice lolly!! you can also pierce a hole in any kind of yogurt and stick a stick in there and make homemade frozen yogurt! Perfect for you and your baby! If you don't have a blender you could also freeze innocent pouches and cut it open and it's a perfect lolly!

7. Hair products! If like me your baby is mixed, we all know how dry their hair gets, so when they have been in the sun/water/sand it is important to add a bit of moisture to it! I love Shea moisture kids detangeler, it is light in consistency and just adds moisture without making you babies hair heavy or greasy! Perfect for mixed hair!!

8. Picnic and snacks! Always mandatory if you want 20 mins of peace to catch a bit of colour in your garden or on the green! I always carry food for Milena and recently I have been trying not to buy so much and just be prepared from home because the first 2 days of the sunshine I had already spend a fortune on stuff because you can easily spend £25 a day on picnic stuff especially when you want to be healthy! So I was making carrot sticks and hummus, bring olives from home, cutting up pitta and chicken sandwiches! With this I always carry baby crisps and some sort of fruit!

9. BeejoLDN sunglasses, they are perfect for your little one! i am tired of seeing floral shades or heart shaped sunglasses for your baby! The TIA's and the AMELIA's are perfect for your baby to look saggy all summer long!

10. Now for you: we need a swaggy pair of shades, I am shade queen I don't like wearing makeup when it's hot and some shades can make you go from being a 6 to a 7.5, I love some Dior shades or vintage Cazal! Sliders are a necessity and they are mandatory when you are in the Lido/paddling pool with your baby because you never know when you need to chase after them! I love the vans and the puma ones as well as the classic adidas ones you can't go wrong with them! Anything to change my plain outfit a bit! We need a big bag! A very big bag! Recently I have been wearing my goyard or lv neverful, together with some sort of small bag for me to put all my necessities! A hair band because let's be honest a whole day in the park deserves a high bun or pony! Lip balm, I love burts bees! They are all natural and really moisturise your lips! Last but not least at least one corona or cider or something, especially if your with all your mummy friends you need a little pick me up especially when your baby is happy playing with all their fellow besties!
