Mummy I want food!!

IMG_0865.JPG

I am a foodie, I love food, and even before I was pregnant I would go to far extents to find food, I will go on holiday and research the best restaurants, I will drive far to go to a little shack that sells the best patties, I will try every burger in london because I love burgers lol, I will try anything. However whilst I have been pregnant, all I have wanted is orange Lucozade, I blame my boyfriend for being hyper active and making my daughter the same! Throughout my blog I will be posting all my food places and food cravings, I will be reviewing and rating them. Letting you in on Lunch time menu secrets and giving options for all wallets.

Find below a list of a few of my recent cravings and hot spots...

1. Society Bar and Restaurant

If you want delicious food, from starter to main please try this place it is in the Hilton in Kensington Olympia and it is a hidden gem. The bar is so nice and I have not been when i haven’t been pregnant but the cocktails are meant to be amazeee-balls. I had the scallops to start and then this soft lamb with potato gratin and this like veg mash, it was superb. The desserts are meant to be delicious too however I have always been too full (great sign) to try them. The bread and butter they give you whilst your waiting is the shiznik too.

Defo 4/5, A meal set you back £50 a head without alcohol. The service is a bit slow, but worth the wait every time.

2. Moosh in fulham Broadway!

The inside looks like you are in a garden, it is very cool, the food is all organic and they prize themselves on their juices and smoothies. I recommend the avocado on toast if you are going for the healthier option but I am pregnant and have been craving Pancakes and I LOVE THEM. The Maple syrup is so nice too! The smoothies are delicious and if you want a slim fix the green juice has all your daily necessities.

4/5 portions can be small if you order the healthier stuff but I am just a pig, service is quick and always with a smile! £10 a head with smoothie

3.Roka

Amazing food, small portions, goodish service, but the best

lamb chops every and wild shrimp that I have had in a long time would defo give it a 4/5, £50 a head with no alcohol, and I would recommend getting loads of little plates and trying everything

4. Franco Mancha

May I start by saying if someone knows about pizzas it would be me, I loveee a pizza lol. These taste like the authentic pizzas I tried in a little restaurant in Tuscany. If you want a traditional stone baked delicious, mouth watering pizza, please go here, it is cheap and for £15 pounds a head you can leave there stuffed, arrive early because you will always find a queue outside no matter what restaurant you go to, so be ready to bring a snack or something whilst you are waiting to be seated.

The homemade lemonade and olives are beautiful I will give this place 5/5 because the food is good, the service is quick and although you have to wait to be seated it is cheap and worth what you are paying for!

5. Duck and Waffle

I would not recommend this place, I have gone and had dessert and cocktails before and the fact that is is on the 44th floor and has a beautiful view it is a cute place to go on a date or breakfast as it is open 24/7, so for those late night drives it is a perfect place to go and relax with a bottle of champagne and some chocolate covered waffles.

However this is my friends favourite restaurant and we went for her birthday, the service was amazing, they even gave me a pillow for my poor pregnant self lol, but the food wasn’t up to par, I had a salad and squid, and I was disappointed! She however loved her duck and waffle. My other friends ordered steak and they were not pleased. I have however heard gret reviews for the chicken, but its huge so make sure that you have a big appetite if you order it!

So 4/5 for cocktails and dessert on a cute date night and 2/5 for lunch. This place is like £35 pound a head without alcohol. Make sure you reserve in advance to avoid disappointment

6. Gauchos

One of my fave go to places, it is lovely for date night because their wine list is amazing and my boyfriend enjoys watching me get drunk lol. But it is also perfect during the day for £26 you can have a 2 course meal, I always end up getting loads of sides so with service it ends up being £37 a head but it is so worth it. 4/5 excellent service and I love the bread and the empanada starter!
