My baby when she was 3 months old and a boobie addict, i miss breast feeding and having this little chunk :(
Anyways lol....I am tired, I have a migraine, you know those annoying ones in the middle of your forehead that are just constant! How the hell did I go to sleep last night and still wake up with it! But life doesn't stop when you are a mum and the important thing is to firstly take as many paracetamols and ibuprofens that you can find and secondly do as many activities with your baby until nap time! Wearing them out means that nap time will be that little longer and that is the perfect time to just sit down and do nothing! When I am feeling sick or tired I try to do as many things as I can whilst Milena is up like playing, bathing, cleaning my house and prepping lunch, so that the second those little eyes start to wander and she goes into dream land I can sit down with some sort of herbal tea and do nothing! Right now I'm writing this because I am high off medicine so my headache is numb! You need to appreciate the times when you can be in silence, when you don't have to listen to Peppa pig or the cries and tantrums! It's crazy how beautiful silence sounds like!
Being a mum is a hard job and I hate when people belittle it, I constantly hear people telling me much free time I have and how many things I can squeeze into a day! And to be fair I try my hardest to do that! But being a mum is not easy, I think every mother has found herself at the point of tears, be it when your child is teething or not wanting to eat or just being terrible! I do not have patience, I have many bad traits and that is one of them and having Milena has taught me to breath and control my anger! I notice that I tend to take out my anger on other people instead of her because she does not deserve it! When you have a new born the issues that you face are that they are not sleeping through the night, night poo's, colic ect, but you still have that nap time to look forward to every 2-3hours! That honeymoon period is over for me! I now have a one year old who is smart as fuck! How does she throw her broccoli on the floor and just eat her rice and chicken?!?! How does my one year old know to do that? Why do I always find her doing the naughtiest stuff and she is so sly and smart lol she defo gets it from her dad! She knows she shouldn't do stuff and yet she always pushes her luck! So the solution! Entertain them!! it is so easy to get caught up in your own life and routines, if she is crying or moaning take her outside, turn off the tv and bring out some paint or some music instruments and dedicate some time to your baby! I know it is annoying to think you have plates in the sink that need washing, or that you baby just emptied out her/his toy box but just forget about it and do it when you are rested and when your baby is content! Remember that primary socialisation and the things you do with your child for their first years are key for their development! As much as we want to have everything in our home on fleek or that we want to go shopping and do our makeup and hair and actually look human, we need to prioritise our kids, even if we have a 48hour long migraine
