Being healthy can be easy and giving your baby veg and stuff can sometimes be a tricky job because it's as if some of them are born knowing they don't like them! Well for the past week I have been on a campaign to give Milena as many greens as possible! We have gone through all kinds of food phases with Milena, I started weaning her at 4 months and this girl would eat whatever I gave her, Milena only got her first tooth like a month ago but boy you should of seen how she would use those gums oh and when she would bite me with those gums of steel lol, it was defo beef lol! Then we got to like 9 months when she refused to eat, she would literally hate it and that's when I stopped giving her blended food and moved onto solids, she loves anything with rice or sweet potato! She loves chicken, salmon and prawns! The fact she only has one little tooth ( her second one is starting to make an appearance) it was hard to give her stuff such a lamb and beef because they are a bit harder! Nether the less she gives it a go! And she looves pulses she will eat red kidney beans and lentils like a true Colombian with some plantain and rice lol!

As always I'm off topic my fingers get too excited lol. This morning I thought I would take some pictures and show you how I try to in-cooperate veg into different meals! The last time I went food shopping I made sure to buy veg which I haven't given her yet, she has started to stop eating broccoli so I have decided to try and hide it in her food just because it is a super food! But I also decided to try other foods such as courgettes and Mushrooms ect. And well she loved it, I started off cooking them in a sweet sauce so that she would eat them and she did, I was so happy!

This morning I made a veggie omelette and yet again she loved it, I made sure I put cheese in it not only for its nutritional value but also because she loves the taste of cheese so I thought it would be an incentive for her to eat it! And she did it!!! She ate it all (with a little helping hand from me, I always end up eating some of her food Kmt)

It's so easy, literally takes as long as making a normal scrambled egg just with a bit more prep!

Top tips: cook in olive oil, cook the veg first because it takes longer to cook than the egg! If you baby is under 1.5 make sure the egg is well done

I put: onions, broccoli, mushrooms, cheddar cheese and one egg in her scrambled egg!

I followed this meal with a bowl of Greek yogurt, it's plain and literally tastes like nothing to me, but I have been giving it to Milena since she was a baby so it's all she really knows and she loves it!!! Even when she doesn't eat a lot of her food I always know that she will fill herself up with yogurt! To spice it up I sometimes add fruit either that I have blended myself or an Ella's pouch, just to insure she is getting some fruit in her diet!

Anyways cooking healthy is fun and to save time add a bit more veg and egg to the pot and feed yourself too because if you baby sees you eating it, they are more likely to be adventurous too
